HCMH seeks an innovative Director of Materials Management to be responsible for the direction and management of supply chain functions for Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital & affiliates.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in Supply Chain Management in healthcare. Associate degree in related field and CMRP (Certified Materials and Resource Professional) certification preferred. Strong negotiation, organizational and communication skills are required. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to operate hospital software and materials information system software are needed in this position. CPSI experience preferred. A thorough familiarity with all elements of Supply Chain Management including purchasing, inventory distribution management, contract management, product standardization, cost control and value analysis are also requirements for this position.

Coordinates report processing and assists in data analysis and data mining. Promotes the adoption of automation and technologies that improve efficiencies within department. Assists in electronic processes related to contract management. Oversees vendor management by setting up vendors, establishing vendor accounts and maintaining vendor file.

EDUCATION: BS/BA degree in Business Administration or related field (equivalent experience will be considered).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years experience in healthcare PMM Information Services or equivalent.
  • Background in analytical research and process improvement.
  • Competency with basic/advanced spreadsheet word processing programs (Microsoft Suite) and MMIS systems (PMM).
  • Experience with relational database maintenance.
  • Competency with Microsoft Access for data base quires and Sequel updates
